A relaxed countryside base at
CAMP CORVE
A Cottage Designed for Real Life Together
Otter Cottage is a generous, welcoming place to stay — designed for groups, families, and guests who want space to properly settle in.
With three bedrooms, the cottage can be configured flexibly for different types of stays, whether you’re visiting for a family break, a wedding weekend, or a small group getaway. A downstairs shower room makes life easy for busy mornings, while upstairs you’ll find a bathroom with a shower over the bath — ideal for slower starts or soaking after a long day outdoors.
At the heart of the cottage is a fully operational kitchen, equipped with everything you need for self-catering stays, including a washing machine and dishwasher. It’s a space made for cooking together, not just passing through.
The spacious living area is arranged around a wood stove, with sofas and chairs set up for conversation, board games, or long evenings unwinding — especially welcome on cooler nights.
“Otters Cottage is one of those places where people naturally spread out and then come back together again. You’ll find someone cooking, someone curled up by the stove, someone outside with a cup of tea — and somehow it all just works. That balance was really important to us.”

Gardens to Discover, Corners to Linger In
One of Otters Cottage’s quiet joys is its outdoor space — and there’s more than you might expect at first glance.
At the front of the cottage, a garden with four benches and a large table sits beneath festoon and fairy lights, surrounded by trees and pots filled with flowers. It’s a lovely spot for shared meals, morning coffee, or evenings that drift on longer than planned.
Tucked away beyond that is a secret grass garden, hidden within trees and wildflowers. This more secluded space includes two benches, a lounger, and a fire pit, creating a calm, private corner for reading, stargazing, or gathering as the light fades.
The gardens feel intentionally layered — social spaces when you want them, and quieter corners when you don’t.
Staying as part of a group?
Otters Cottage can be booked on its own, but it also plays an important role as part of Camp Corve’s courtyard cottage layout. When booked alongside our other cottages, it becomes part of a shared setup designed for group stays, retreats, and wedding weekends — offering privacy alongside natural points for coming together.
If you’d like to understand how the cottages were designed to work as a group — from shared meals to slow mornings and communal evenings — you can read Hamish’s story behind the courtyard.
A Comfortable Base for Isle of Wight Days and Easy Evenings
Whether your days are filled with countryside walks, coastal exploring, or on-site celebrations, Otter Cottage offers a place to return to that feels familiar and grounding.
It’s equally suited to lively group stays and quieter breaks — a cottage where muddy boots are welcome, meals are unhurried, and evenings can be spent either around the fire pit outside or the wood stove indoors.
Otters Cottage isn’t about showiness. It’s about comfort, flexibility, and creating space for people to be together in a way that feels natural.
